Everyday with Mum.

Reading Tuesday with Morrie shed some insights into my inner thoughts. So similar are some events. Perhaps it is the way how they deal with their sickness; their outlooks on living life and the joy of being alive. Mum has developed a rare case whereby doctors from various departments have to pool their resources to diagnose her condition. No clear conclusion. Still, my mum does not lament her situation. Instead, she wants us to continue to live; to fulfill our daily tasks. Not that she is enjoying herself with all the blood and pain. Unlike that woman, on the opposite bed, who whines and moans all the time, making scenes after scenes whenever a nurse approaches. My mum keeps her humor intact regardlessly. Though unable to speak, she commented that our (Aunty Shirley and I) hospital visiting skills are terrible, simply un-joyous. We complained that the hospital was thoughtless for giving my mum porridge and grapes. How could she even eat a grape. We were so thoughtless that we allowed the fact that she is the one suffering slip past us. She gave us a slow smile and wrote down how ridiculous we sounded. My mum is always the one filled with thoughts and principles. People believes in her and so do I.
