views from where i have always lived.

it occurs to me that even though it is a common experience to live in high rise apartments in Singapore, many are not particularly used to height...for 18 years, i have lived on the 19th storey, with unblocked views...keith has gone out with jo for six years now, still can't bear to look down the window...view from my balcony oversees the old building of Victoria School, the PIE expressway, and beyond that, the industry park. in the picture, the vehicles look faraway, but from where i'm looking, it doesn't feel as distant...

this is a view from my room...a sight that i've accustomed to...watching vehicles coming and going...the bustling my lullaby, i've grown so fond of...added rhythm to silence subtly...forged silence...layers and layers of housing estates...multi-angled perspectives...only achievable by focusing one moment at a time...the night scene is even better...the orange lights form the negatives of the day's objects...transformations of the sun and moon...as you can see, the sky is not blue...
